Fitness enthusiast and reviewer from Rome

The Short Version

I go by Giulia Moretti, based in Rome, and for several years I've been recording my experiences at fitness clubs across Italy.

This site exists because I grew tired of selecting gyms based on advertisements and vague recommendations, only to discover the reality differed from expectations. I wanted precise, honest information about what these places were actually like. Since I could not find it, I decided to create it.

How This Started

My workout routine began at a modest club near Viale delle Palestre in Rome. It wasn't perfect, but it was accessible, budget-friendly, and it helped me build consistency.

After that place closed, I noticed how swiftly the fitness scene in Italy was evolving. New gyms opened, fresh concepts appeared, and marketing grew louder than real member experience.

I started trying different gyms and classes, jotting notes after every visit. Over time those notes turned into this website, built to help others make clearer choices.

My Approach to Reviews

Every review on this site comes from real visits and real time spent inside the club. I focus on practical details that matter when you are choosing a membership.

When I review a fitness center, I typically:

  • Invest sufficient time to grasp routines, peak periods, and trends
  • Visit on varied days and times
  • Experiment with multiple training formats and coaches
  • Regularly use facilities to assess cleanliness and comfort
  • Speak with other members about consistency and gaps
  • Take notes promptly after each visit

I revise reviews when there are major changes: renovations, new management, price adjustments, or new facilities. Each article displays its last update date so you can gauge how current it is.

What I Value

My priorities may differ from yours, so here is what matters most to me when assessing a gym:

Comfort and Privacy: Does the space feel thoughtfully designed for members, with clear boundaries and a relaxed vibe?

Equipment Quality: Are machines well-maintained? Is there sufficient variety? Are repairs swift?

Crowd Management: Can you train during your preferred hours without constant waiting?

Clean Facilities: Locker rooms, showers, floors, and equipment surfaces. Cleanliness reflects how seriously management treats member experience.

Transparent Membership Practices: Clear pricing, clear rules, and no unexpected surprises.

Beyond the Gym

Outside of training and writing, I live and work in Rome. This project aims to make fitness choices simpler and more transparent for those seeking the right setting.
